FAQ — 'IS IT SAFE TO WEAR?'

We need to talk about something real.

Some of you have asked: Is it safe to wear this shirt?

That question deserves a real answer.

The honest answer is: it depends where you are and what you're doing, and only you can make that call.

A shirt is not a protest sign. It doesn't put you at the front of a march. It doesn't require you to give your name, your face, or your location to anyone.
It is, at its most basic, a piece of clothing with words on it.

Those words matter. And so does your safety.

We believe you can wear your values without performing them at your own expense. You
decide when, where, and how visible you are. The Don'T Project is not asking you to be a
martyr. We're asking you to be present — in the way that works for you.

At the rally? Wear it loud.
At work? Your call.
At home, alone, ordering online because the act of spending money on this is the line you're
drawing today?

That counts too.

Every person. Every way they're standing.

Just Say Don'T.

Q: Are you a Democrat brand?
A: We are a democracy brand. Those aren't the same thing. We don't tell you who to vote for.
We remind you what you're voting for.

Q: What does Don'T mean?
A: It means don't give in. Don't go quiet. Don't let them tell you this is normal. Don't mistake silence for safety. And yes — the T is the shirt. The message is the product.

Q: Why Uncle Sam?
A: Because he's been pointing at Americans and asking them to show up for over a century. We didn't change the image. We updated the ask. He's not pointing at you to send you to war. He's pointing at you to remind you that democracy still needs you.

Q: Is the shirt ethically made?
A: Yes. We print through American POD suppliers that use responsible sourcing and ethical manufacturing. The values on the front of the shirt have to match the values behind the supply chain.
